HOW WILL IT WORK?
You can sign-up for as many sessions as your family wants. Sign-up for Camp Anywhere sessions here.
Some families might want their kids to fully go to camp for two weeks and they can choose the unlimited option to have their kids fully immersed in the camp experience. Others might want to sign-up for sessions and camp activities based on what is offered throughout the summer.

During this time of uncertainty, we want to give families flexibility to make this work based on their needs.
WHEN CAN WE SIGN UP FOR SESSIONS?
Camp Anywhere will start June 15th and run through the summer.

We will post two-week schedules two weeks in advance. We will require families to sign-up no later than the Friday before the two-week period begins.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO AS A PARENT?
We are working to make this as easy as possible for parents. Most sessions will only require parents to help their child sign-up for the class, get set up on Zoom, and gather basic materials. This may vary based on the child's age and level of independence. If a session requires further parent involvement, it will be noted in the session description. As educators are not physically with the campers, parents will need to be responsible for the ultimate safety of their child.
WHAT MATERIALS WILL MY CHILD NEED FOR THE SESSIONS?
All sessions have detailed information for families before they sign up. This includes the materials needed for that session/session series. We try our best to use basic, easily accessible and common household materials. If a session requires a special material, it will be noted in the session description. That allows families to decide before they sign-up for the session if they will be able to acquire the materials in the two weeks before the session starts.
HOW MANY KIDS WILL BE IN EACH SESSION?
Session size will vary based on age, the content of the session, and sign-ups. Most sessions will be between 2 and 10 kids. All sessions will give time for campers to make connections and build relationships, collaborate and discuss, and share their ideas and learning with others in a small group setting.
WILL MY CHILD BE ABLE TO CONTINUE THE LEARNING BEYOND THE ONE-HOUR LIVE SESSIONS?
All sessions will include extensions for campers to continue the learning beyond the live, one-hour session. For a session that is part of a series, we will ask them to continue exploring the topic and give them specific directions on what to do. In the next session, they will come back and share with the group what they did. If it is just a one time session, we will still provide extensions that they can do to further the learning and exploration.
WILL THIS REQUIRE MY CHILD TO SIT IN FRONT OF A SCREEN FOR AN HOUR?
While we will be using Zoom as our platform to connect with each other, the sessions are designed to be hands-on and collaborative. Campers will be working with their hands and doing activities during the live sessions. We will use the screen as a way for kids to talk to each other and to hear and see instructions/demonstrations. After the live session, campers will have extension activities that often do not require the use of a device.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE ZOOM SESSIONS ARE KEPT SECURE?
We require a password to enter the session and use the "waiting room" feature to ensure we have control over who is joining the session. If you are interested in learning more about our risk management policies and procedures, please send us an email at campanywhere@gmail.com.
CAN MY FAMILY RECEIVE A SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND CAMP ANYWHERE?
Yes! We mean it when we say that we want campers from anywhere. We hope to be able to make Camp Anywhere accessible to all families. Please let us know here if you would like to work with us to make Camp Anywhere financially feasible for your family.

WHO WILL BE THE OTHER CAMPERS AT CAMP ANYWHERE?
The beauty of Camp Anywhere is that we will have a diverse set of campers from around the world. We have collectively taught around the world and already have families registered that reflect that. We see this as a wonderful opportunity to build relationships across a diverse community. We will actively and purposefully facilitate this community building in safe and inclusive ways.
CAN MY CHILD INTERACT WITH THEIR FRIENDS THROUGH CAMP ANYWHERE?
There are two different ways that we can support kids interacting with their friends. First, you can coordinate with your child's friends' families to sign up for the same sessions and camp activities.
